10G ethernet 설치

DL580G5 - RedHat Linux version 4 update 5

http://www.hp.com/ 에서 드라이버 다운로드 받을수 있다.

현재 NC510C 일 경우 linux 최하 버젼 설치는 version4 update 5 부터 설치 가능 하다.

해당 드라이버 설치는 Driver - Network  /Firmware - Network  두가지 모두 만족 해야 한다.

[root@reyad data]# rpm -ivh nx_

[root@reyad data]# rpm -ivh nx_tools-3.4.263-5.rpm

 이렇게 했을경우 패키지 파일은 /usr/src/redhat/SPECS 에 파일이 자동 풀린다.

[root@reyad SPECS]# ls

[root@reyad i386]# ls
nx_lsa-3.4.263-5.i386.rpm  nx_lsa-debuginfo-3.4.263-5.i386.rpm  nx_nic-3.4.263-5.i386.rpm  nx_nic-debuginfo-3.4.263-5.i386.rpm

위와같이 rpm 패키지 파일을 볼수 있다. 이것을

[root@reyad i386]# rpm -ivh nx_nic-3.4.263-5.i386.rpm
[root@reyad i386]# rpm -ivh nx_nic-debuginfo-3.4.263-5.i386.rpm
[root@reyad i386]# rpm -ivh nx_lsa-3.4.263-5.i386.rpm 
[root@reyad i386]# rpm -ivh nx_lsa-debuginfo-3.4.263-5.i386.rpm 

위 rpm 설치 하게 되면 /etc/modprobe.conf  에
해당 드라이버 모듈이 설치 된것을 확인 할수 있다.

rpm 설치후 재부팅

[root@reyad i386]#sync;sync;sync;reboot

재부팅후 해당 시스템에 키보드 및 모니터 연결

재부팅후 리눅스에서는 자동으로 새로운 하드웨어을 찾는다.

[root@reyad ]#

재부팅후 ifconfig 및 ethtool 봤을때 dmesg 에 펌웨어 오류가 뜨는 것을 확인 할수 있다.

펌웨어 업그레이드을 해야 한다.

nx_tool 설치 경로는 /opt/netxen 에 설치 된다.

[root@client 114]# cd /opt/
[root@client opt]# ls
netxen
[root@client opt]# cd netxen/
[root@client netxen]# ls
cx4_hp_romimage  hmez_romimage  nxflash  nxudiag  xfp_hp_romimage
[root@client netxen]# ./nxflash
Usage: ./nxflash [command-options-and-arguments]
  where command is:
-i, --interface <inf>       Set inf to work with; inf:[eth1, eth2, etc]
                            MUST be first in a chain
--info                      Show board information
                            { Board type, chip revision,
                            serial-id, firmware and bios versions,
                            MAC address(es), sub-system id }
-a, --all                   Burn flash using romimage
-r, --restore <image file>  Restore flash using backup romimage
--opt-rom-on                Enable expansion ROM
--opt-rom-off               Disable expansion ROM (default)

Note: NetXen NIC will be taken offline while flashing process is going on.

[root@client netxen]# ./nxflash -i eth3 --info ( ethernet 정보 확인)

[root@client netxen]# ./nxflash -i eth3 -a

여기서 나온 eth3 /etc/modprobe.conf  및 ethtool 이용 하여 새로 인식한 ethernet 이
어디로 맵핑되었는지 확인 한다.

시스템에 따라.... eth3 가 아니라 eth# 이로 설정 될수 있다.

 이렇게 하면 eth3 정상 운영 되는것을 확인 할수 있다.

#ethtool 및 /etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart

dmesg 및 네트워크에서 실패가 아니면 정상 작동
